New Clients & Therapy Fees

Welcome

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable. This page outlines everything you need to know about fees, insurance, policies, and what to expect when starting therapy with me, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

I offer private-pay, mindfulness-based therapy for high-achieving professionals and South Asian adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, relationship stress, and cultural or family pressure in Ventura, California and online for residents of California, Illinois, and New York.

Investment

  • Individual Therapy (50 minutes): $250
  • Couples Therapy (50 minutes): $350
  • Extended sessions are available upon request.

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept major credit cards, debit cards, HSA, and FSA cards.

Many clients choose private-pay therapy because it allows for:

  • Greater privacy and confidentiality
  • Flexibility in treatment length and approach
  • Depth-oriented, integrative care without insurance limitations

Insurance, Superbills & Out-of-Network Support

I am a private-pay provider.

If you have a PPO plan, I provide monthly superbills that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary depending on your specific plan.

This is especially relevant for clients seeking culturally attuned therapy that may not be readily available in-network.

In select cases, particularly when culturally responsive care or continuity of care is clinically important, I may support clients in requesting an out-of-network exception. Approval is determined solely by your insurance provider and cannot be guaranteed.

If navigating reimbursement feels overwhelming, I’m happy to offer guidance during our consultation.

Culturally Responsive Care & Out-of-Network Support

For some clients, particularly those seeking culturally attuned therapy or continuity of care, insurance plans may allow an out-of-network exception when medically necessary care is not available in-network.

As a South Asian therapist, I understand how important culturally responsive support can be. When clinically appropriate, I am willing to assist clients in exploring an out-of-network exception and can provide documentation to support that request.

Approval is determined by your insurance provider and cannot be guaranteed. We can discuss whether this may be appropriate during your consultation.

What Is an Out-of-Network Exception?

In some cases, insurance companies may approve coverage for an out-of-network provider when medically necessary care is not reasonably available within their network. This is sometimes considered when clients require culturally responsive treatment or continuity of care that cannot be accessed through in-network providers.

If clinically appropriate, I can provide documentation to support this request. Approval is determined solely by your insurance provider and cannot be guaranteed.
