It's helpful to know how therapy works before you decide to dive deep into it, so you have clarity about what to expect.
+ Step 1. Free 15-Minute Phone Consultation:
During this consult, we will discuss the following:
a) The specific issues that you are struggling with
b) Your goals for therapy
c) When and how you will know that you have achieved your goals
d) My therapeutic style and the way I work with clients
e) Review your questions and concerns about therapy and working with me
f) Schedule your first sessions/initial assessment
If we decide to work together, I will send you a digital Initial Paperwork Packet to complete and send back to me before your first session.
+ Step 2. First Session/Intake Assessment:
During your first session, we will dive deeper into what we discussed during the phone consultation. I will ask you more detailed questions so I can really understand what you are struggling with and are looking for help with in therapy. I will make sure we are a good fit to work together and that I can help you before we schedule more sessions. If for some reason, therapy will not appropriate with me, I will provide you with some amazing referrals to therapists that have more specialized to help you with the specific issues you are struggling with.
+ Step 3. Schedule Weekly Therapy Sessions:
Therapy is scheduled for weekly 50-minute sessions to provide consistency and to keep moving forward with the work you are doing.
+ Step 4. Ending Therapy:
We create your goals and discuss how and when you know that you have met your goals during our first session together. We will regularly check in about your progress towards your goals. My goal is for you to achieve your goals and move on from therapy!
